Geraldine embarked on her underwater odyssey in 1991 in Italy. She worked as a Divemaster there and in Sharm el Sheikh before becoming an instructor in 1994. It was in Sharm in 2001 that she began filming with Blue Eye FX Productions and has been working with us for over eight years.
Gege has been a member of the film crew on location for several commissions: filming at the Only One Apnea Center in Sharm where Egyptian freediver Ashod Papazian, sponsored by Camel Dive Club, dived to a depth of 70 metres smashing the Egyptian National free-diving record in the Constant Weight discipline; and at Sharks Bay Umbi filming an opening for the dive centre which will appear on Israeli TV.
During the cooler months, Gege is master and commander of her restaurant in the mountains of Italy. In the warmer times, she heads off the slopes and can be found amongst the fishes of the Red Sea. Gege is Blue Eye FX’s voice of reason, translator extraordinaire and master of colour. Fluent in English, Italian, French, Dutch and Arabic, she is a great asset and great fun – we all love Gege!!
