Blue Eye FX has joined forces with the Only One Apnea Centre in Sharm el Sheikh to ensure full medai coverage for a season of freediving that promises to be very exciting!

Since Only One's freediving season opening at the beginning of May 2009, Blue Eye FX has filmed Martin Štĕpánek’s two World Records (122 metres, Constant Weight and 110 metres, Free Immersion) and a National Record for Egyptian Ashod Papazian (70 metres, Constant Weight).

The Only One Apnea Centre is a training centre where athletes from any freediving agency can train in any discipline – from first steps to world records. Since opening in 2007, Only One Apnea has provided students with a support team of athletes coming from different frediving associations and federations, such as Andrea Zuccari (AIDA, Switzerland), Omar Leuci (FIPSAS, Italy) and Angela Ambrosi (AIDA, Italy).

The Centre provides fully operational equipment such as the sled for Variable Weight training, permanently installed platforms, a marked cable with counterweight, safety freedivers, a spacious classroom and heated pool. This makes the Only One Apnea Centre a valid support for freediving schools, instructors or groups coming from the Mediterranean who want to train all year round.

Due to these unique characteristics the Only One Apnea team is ready to support national and world record attempts in any discipline, providing athletes with full assistance, including official cameras at the surface and on the bottom, a technical team for underwater assistance and a medical team with rescue speedboats, in case of an emergency.
